Surrey, UK – March 7, 2022 – Atex Online, the top distributor of ATEX-certified products, equipment, tools and accessories, has partnered up with lighting manufacturer, Atexor, to provide the UK market with Atex-approved specialist safety lighting.

Based in Finland, Atexor expanded into the UK in 2016 and have been designing and manufacturing IECEx, ATEX and UKEX lighting for explosion hazardous areas for over 35 years. Known worldwide for their quality and reliability, Atexor serves a wide range of industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, refineries, mining, drillships, manufacturing, mills, transport, firefighting, defence, chemicals, and semiconductors.

Atexor’s range of ATEX certified lighting products include SLAM FIXED® light fittings, SLAM® portable lighting and power supplies, and rechargeable MICA® hand lamps, as well as a range of accessories.

All Atexor products are manufactured and developed in their factory in Finland.

ATEX is a requirement that stipulates hazardous materials often found in a workplace. Therefore, companies that handle and transport dangerous materials are responsible for protecting their employees from the risk of explosion.

Atexor’s products all feature the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking, which came into effect on January 1st, 2021. This new UK product marking replaces the previously required CE marking and is featured on goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).

The Atexor range of ATEX certified lighting products available to purchase from ATEX Online’s website includes MICA, Slam Star and Slam Hornet, which are fitted and portable ex-lighting solutions, all made for use in hazardous areas.
