Eighteen Units, One Megawatt Each, Running on Biodiesel

The Indonesia installation comprises 18 containerised generator sets, each rated at 1 MW, powered by Cummins KTA50-GS8 engines equipped with Leroy-Somer LSA50.2 L8 alternators, and rated at 1,200 kW prime power and 1,000 kW continuous power on B35 biodiesel fuel. MPMC’s scope of delivery covered design, manufacturing, factory testing, and on-site commissioning, with the units shipped and installed as a complete containerised power plant.

Meeting Western Renewable Fuel Standards

Running on B35 biodiesel rather than petroleum diesel, the installation is designed to lower lifecycle carbon dioxide emissions by up to 85 percent compared with a conventional diesel-only plant of the same output, while remaining compliant with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) and the United States’ Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) — two of the reference frameworks most widely used internationally to assess renewable fuel credentials. For an operator whose end customers or financing partners require documented alignment with these standards, the project provides a concrete, delivered reference rather than a theoretical compliance pathway.

Stable Operation in a Tropical Environment

High-Voltage Output for Data Centre and Offshore Applications

MPMC’s UAE data centre projects, including the 12 MW Changhang installation, are configured for 6 kV high-voltage output using MTU 20V4000 G63LF engines with Leroy-Somer LSA53.2 XL13 alternators, multi-rad radiators, and space heating with anti-condensation protection and RTD temperature monitoring — a configuration built specifically for the continuous, zero-interruption reliability standard a data centre load requires. The Brazil offshore installation, built for the corrosive salt-air environment of an active drilling platform, uses the same Cummins KTA50 engine platform under a marine-rated containerised enclosure with C5 anti-corrosion coating available for continuous coastal exposure.
